Privacy Policy for Flaggle
Last updated: 4 October 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Pairwise ("we", "us") handles
information in the mobile application Flaggle ("the App"). By using the
App you agree to this policy.
Summary
- The game itself is offline — all flags, country data, and your
scores, streaks and settings stay on your device. We do not require an
account and never ask for your name, email or password.
- To keep the App free, we use ads and basic
analytics/crash reporting from third-party services (Google) that
collect limited technical data as described below.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Information collected
We do not directly collect personally identifying information. The third-party
services we use collect the following to function:
1. Analytics — Google Firebase Analytics
- App usage and interactions (screens viewed, games played, features used)
- Device and software information (device model, OS, language, country/region)
- A randomly generated app-instance identifier
2. Crash reporting — Google Firebase Crashlytics
- Crash logs, diagnostic data and device state at the time of a crash
3. Advertising — Google AdMob
- A device advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS / Advertising ID on Android)
- Device information and general (coarse) location derived from IP address
- Ad interaction data
Where required (e.g. the EEA/UK) we show a consent form; on iOS we request App
Tracking Transparency permission. If you decline, you still see ads, but they are
non-personalized.
How information is used
- To operate, maintain and improve the App
- To show and measure advertising that keeps the App free
- To diagnose crashes and fix problems
We do not sell personal data and do not build advertising profiles ourselves — any
ad personalization is performed by Google subject to your consent.
Sharing
Data is processed by our service providers Google (Firebase, AdMob)
and the app stores (Apple, Google Play) under their own
policies:
Data retention
On-device data (scores, settings) remains until you delete the App. Analytics and
crash data are retained per Google's default retention settings. You can reset your
advertising identifier or limit ad tracking in your device settings at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Ads: reset/limit your advertising ID in iOS or Android settings;
decline tracking in the consent / ATT prompt for non-personalized ads.
- Delete data: uninstalling the App removes all on-device data. To
request deletion of analytics/crash data associated with your device, contact us.
- GDPR (EEA/UK) / CCPA (California): you may request access to or
deletion of your personal data; California residents may opt out of "sale/share"
(we do not sell). Contact us.
Children's privacy
Flaggle is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under
13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect
personal data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change and the current version
will always be at this page.
